Memorial Brass I.D. Manufacturing Company is the only site on the Internet selling brass replica I.D. tags like those used in the Civil War. The seven-year-old company has sold hundreds of I.D. tags over the web and is owned by Albert R. Fromberger. Mr. Fromberger is a member of The 1785 Society, which is part of the The National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Mr. Fromberger is a former Civil War re-enactor who was attached to the 108th New York State Volunteer Infantry Regiment. He participated in reenactments of Gettysburg and Antietam. He was inspired to start his business after he acquired an original Civil War I.D. tag.

Mr. Fromberger welcomes invitations to attend Civil War encampments where he can set up shop as a sutler of 1861 identification tags.

Company Policy

Memorial Brass accepts credit cards, money orders, cashier's checks and personal checks -- but not cash. Please include the correct amount; we do not bill. If you send a personal check, your order will be held until your check clears the bank.

For refunds or exchange, tags must be returned in original condition within five days of receipt. Please telephone for refunds.

We do not ship C.O.D. New York residents must include sales tax.

Foreign customers must send U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. bank; credit cards are acceptable. Historical societies, federal agencies and state agencies must submit purchase orders with invoicing information.

Please allow four weeks for delivery. We ship UPS First Class or Federal Express. Foreign orders will incur additional shipping expense.

Memorial Brass does not surcharge credit card orders nor do we sell our customer lists to anyone. Your complete satisfaction is assured.
